THE MOTHER ROSARIO BULLETIN 6

The different commissions appointd to study the merits of the case are:

I. Historical Commission

The first group of Judges is called the “ Historical Commission”. This examines the case from the point of view of the actual occurrence and other historical circumstances relevant to the facts that would vouchsafe the conferment of the honorific title in question. This includes also the verification of the alleged “ miracles” attributed to the intercession of the candidate. If the verdict of this commission is unanimously positive, the case is then forwarded to the

II. ‘Theological Commission”

Which examines those facts and possible writings of the candidate from the doctrinal point of view. Any errors in matters of doctrine or morals taught or written by the candidate automatically disqualifies her/him. If this second local Diocesan Commission, gives a positive evaluation, the whole case is then forwarded to the Vatican with the relevant documentation and conclusions.

At the Vatican a higher Historical Commission” reexamines everything from scratch. If this gives a positive judgement, the case is endorsed to a “Higher Theological Commission, which does its job with even greater strictness.

Then a group of cardinas look into the findings and conclusions of the two previous Commissions and the pronouncement of its recommendations on whether the case can be endorsed to the Pope for the final approval.

THE MRAC JOURNEY
(Mother Rosario Arroyo Commission)

The remains of Mother Rosario was transferred to her new resting place in the chapel last October 7, 2008 at 8:00 o'clock in the morning. It was attended by three Bishops, 18 priests, Sisters from other congregations, some relatives of Mother Rosario, our Sisters from the different parishes and hundreds of people.

After the mass about 200 members of the Dominican Laity were commissioned by Archbishop Angel Lagdameo as promoters of the Cause of Mother Rosario. In the afternoon the Dominican laity honored Mother Rosario with their songs, jingles and binalaybay.

When I was 12 years old, my mother left me to the care of Mother Rosario. I studied in Beaterio de Molo when I was in the elementary. The Sisters were my teachers.

Mother Rosario loved the Blessed Mother so much. She used to bow before any picture of the Blessed Mother that she saw and told us to do the same. In the classroom Mother Rosario often told us to pray the rosary.

Few years later I became a postulant and Mother Rosario was my Mistress. She was strict but loving and we were all loved by her. When I was a professed Sister I took care of her when she sustained a fracture after a fall until she died.

Mother Sayong was charitable to the Sisters , workmen in the convent and the poor. She was always ready to provide their needs. She was compassinate not only to the poor but also to animals. When the dogs were sick she ordered the cook to give them good food and even provide them with blankets. Even she was still alive I heard people said that Mother Rosario was a Saint. I can say the same because I was in Beaterio since I was 12 years old.

I entered the convent when I was 23 years old. Since I entered until I finished my novitiate Mother Rosario showered me with her motherly care because I was skinny and frail. After night prayers before retiring Mother Rosario used to go around and check us. One time she saw me feeling cold and I cannot sleep. She gave me the woolen blanket in her room. She advised me to refrían from heavy work because I was skinny. On another occasion I had painful eyes. She sent me to the doctor and when I came home she told me that she prayed hard to the Blessed Mother for me that the result of the examination was not serious or else I will be sent home. I believed she was a Saint. When my eyes were painful and when I had stomach upset I put her handkerchief in my eyes or my stomach and I was cured.
