THE MOTHER ROSARIO BULLETIN 8

The congregation is already 83 years old. If we try to evaluate its existence, we can truly say it has served the purpose for which it was founded. It is a fruit-laden tree which extends its branches throughout the world having schools, and other apostolates that serve the needs of the poor. Mother Rosario wanted to make the world a happy place to live in. The heritage she had left had made possible this dream. Millions of youth had been educated. Many joined the priesthood and the religious life. People have been touched and taught the love of God. The gospel has been spread. The Sisters following the exhortation of Mother Rosario selflessly offered themselves to God. The words of Mother Rosario echoed in all corners of the world where there are sisters of the congregation. The primary objective of the congregation which is the sanctification of the members and the conversion of the world through the rosary is beginning to take place. With the beatification of Mother Rosario the Dominican Sisters and the world will be more encouraged. They have a model set before them which can give them the example and the inspiration to go on. May the beatifi cation of Mother Rosario be realized and our

LIFE AND VIRTUES OF MOTHER ROSARIO

In this issue I would like to feature the whole person of Mother
Rosario. I would like to start with the physical appearance.
She is a Spanish mestiza, very beautiful with a soulful eyes, tall
and slender. She is modest , dresses simply, speak softly and
always wearing a smile.

She is one of the heirs of a very rich landowner and the foundress
of the congregation of the Dominican Sisters of Molo and her
only concern is the spiritual advancement of the congregation.
She does not care for material gains and progress.

It has been commonly heard that one priest once told her father “I
congratulate you for having such a daughter who has preserved
her baptismal innocence”, and true indeed, for Mother Sayong
is innocent of the pleasures of the world and of the flesh.

Her main concern in life is her personal sanctification and the
salvation of souls especially of the Sisters and of the poor.

We all believe that you cannot give what you do not have;
Mother Rosario is holiness personified, that is why she would
like the whole world to aim for holiness and sanctification over
and abone all.

The beatification of Mother Rosario will become a turning
point in the life of the Sisters in the congregation and those that
she has touched, surely, from worldly and material outlook to
personal transformation. The Sisters will follow the life of the
foundress who is poor, simple and holy. Only then will Mother
Rosario be happy and our mission be fulfilled.

May God bless us and grant our prayers for the beatification
of Mother Rosario. As of the moment let us storm heaven with
prayers for this intention; Let us ask the help of those who
know Mother Rosario to be with us in our effort to attain our
most coveted goal, her beatification.

I would like to repeat the gospel passage “where two or three
are gathered in my name there I am in the midst of them”

With all of us praying together all things will become possible:

MOTHER ROSARIO WILL BE BEATIFIED.
THE MEMBERS OF THE MOTHER ROSARIO

TESTIMONIES:
1. BY: Patria Miraflor
Date of Birth: December 5, 1933
Address: Fundidor, Molo, Iloilo City

I was a little child when I saw Mother Rosario. We were going to Molo Church to attend the Sunday Mass. We passed the Beaterio de Molo convent. The convent was closed to the road. I saw Mother Sayong ( as we used to call her) opened her windows when we were passing by. I called her name and she smiled at me. She was tall and beautiful. Since that time I wanted to see her every Sunday.

Mother Sayong was welcoming, soft spoken and compassionate. I heard from many of our neighbors that she was very humble, kind and charitable. Many of our neighbors’ relatives and friends had asked her help both material and spiritual. I heard from priests and seminarians that Mother Sayong will become a Saint because she was very charitable and holy.

Date of Birth: August 9, 1948
Address: Barangay San Jose

My family lived in the land property of Mother Sayong. I was only 9 years old when she died. But I knew about her through my parents and neighbors. They said , they have not seen a Sister like her in her practice of virtues. She was very generous, compassionate, gentle and loving. She was very much loved by her neighbors and she was regarded as a Saint.
