THE MOTHER ROSARIO BULLETIN 9

The season of Christmas has just ended. The memories of this season , linger in our hearts and minds. In fact we con ask this question: had there been no Christmas, would there be other liturgical celebrations in the church? The answer is no. Why? Because Christmas means incarnation - God made man to save the world. The truth is; had there been no child that was born there would be no man who would have died on the cross. Christmas therefore is the most essential event in site life of the church. This is truly an event that enfolds in the church all other liturgical seasons. From this event we learned the lessons of selflessness, sharing, peace, joy and love.

The memory leads me to another question. Can we not say that had not Mother Rosario been born, would there be the Beaterio de Molo or the Dominican Sisters of the Most Holy Rosary of the Philippines ? No, the congregation was not founded. Why? because she spearheaded it… she sustained it… she maintained it.. and she made reservations for its continued existence even after her death. Like Christ she has taught us the lessons of selflessness or we may say detachment, sharing, peace, joy and love.

Sanctity is an individual endeavor. In fact God said I made you without you but I cannot save you without your cooperation. He has given us the free will. Mother Rosario has made it easy for us. She has paved the way. May her beatification be realized soon.

MRAC JOURNEY
MOTHER ROSARIO ARROYO COMMISSION

The MRAC journey continues. It is slow but sure.

We have gone to the radio stations of DYRI, Bombo Radyo and GMA, ABS CBN to introduce Mother Rosario to the public for them to pray and ask her intercession for their needs. Our brothers and sisters who got no opportunity to road about her life will have the opportunity to hear about her . Because of this we are now receiving responses from the public of favors received. Mother Rosario while still on earth was understanding of the needs of others and very generous with her help. Now that she has no other worldly concerns, she will surely help if asked to do so.

With the information we put out through the tri-media, we hope we will be able to reach out to many of our people.

We invite you to visit her crypt in the Dominican Sisters' Motherhouse Chapel in Avancena Street , Molo, Iloilo City . Pray and ask for her intercession.

Please send us your testimony about the life and virtues of Mother Rosario. Write your name, address and tel. number.

In case of healing please state:

I) symptoms of the disease
2) diagnosis of the doctor
3) medica l intervention
4) development of the illness
5) cite if cure is immediate or sadden.

THANK YOU.

LIFE AND VIRTUES OF MOTHER ROSARIO

As we progress in our work for the beatification of Mother Rosario, I have uncovered many significant events that need to be reiterated.

Mother Rosarlo has distinguished herself by her extraordinary zeal and piety. Aside from the heroic observance of the vows, she excelled in the observance of the theological virtues of faith, hope and charity. She is likewise noted for the perfect practice of the cardinal virtues of justice, prudence, fortitude and temperance. In short Mother lived a life of a holy religious. She is an epitome of true womanhood and a saintly life of a religious.

Above all she has excelled in the practice of poverty. While Mother Teresa has tangibly shown love of neighbors especially the poor, by her service to them, Mother Rosario did hers in a different way. She divested herself of all earthly possessions and with perfect detachment left her inheritance to her sole heir -the congregation.

If we make a deeper analysis of this act we will conclude that what she did could not have been motivated by human generosity but by the grace of the Holy Spirit that made her singularly chosen and blessed, destined for sainthood.

Only God can make a saint. Mother Rosario was chosen and she cooperated with the grace of God. God be blessed.

Let us continue to pray that she be numbered among the Blessed ones and be listed in the rooster of Saints.

May Mother Rosario intercede for us and help as in all our needs as we journey to the Father.

Favors Received

I am sure Mother Rosario helped my daughter Shela Mae. She was hospitalized for an unknown nervous sickness. She suffered so much and had stayed in the hospital for over a month.

I was fortunate to be given a prayer for Mother Rosario. I placed it in her pillow and never missed praying it daily so the doctors would be properly guided. She recovered and now had finished her college education and is waiting for employment.

We are very happy to make known to our friends that after all th e efforts of the MRAC in disseminating the life and virtues of Mother Rosario many wonderful things have happened.

Mother Rosario is interceding for us. We know she is very generous a nd she has proven it in many instances. Therefore those of you who may have the chance to read this Bulletin please join as in spreading her good works.

Please be with us in our efforts to pray for her beatification . If there are many of us praying for this intention God who has promised that "wherever two or three are gathered together in His name He will be there to assist them," we will surely be heard.

Let us never forgot that in her simplicity and her love for poverty and prayerfulness especially of the rosary the congregation through your testimonies will succeed in her effort to work for the beatification of an Ilongga foundress.

TESTIMONIES:

Address: Dominican Sisters
Molo, Iloilo City

When f irst came into Beaterio de Molo, I saw Lola Arhin (an old lady living in the Beaterio) distributing bags of rice and money to the poor people on a Friday. I Iearned later that she was requested by Mother Rosario made to do so.

Mother Rosario was very charitable. She helped the poor people and also poor students. She also helped poor seminarians both financially and spiritually.

Mother Rosario loved very much the Blessed Mother. She was always in the chapel during her free time praying the Holy Rosary.

She was compassionate not only to her Sisters but also to the workers in the convent and even to animals. She gave special treatment to sick animals . She believed that animals deserve god care because they are also creatures of God.

I lived near the Beaterio de Molo. Every morning I heard the ringing of the convent bell for Mass and for the Sisters to pray. Since I was six years old until I was eleven years old I have been serving in the conventual masses of the Sisters. Beaterio de Molo was my second home. I saw Member Sayong almost daily. She was very loving especially t o the children and she had always had candies in her pocket for us. She also gave rice to the poor. I did not see her get angry. She was very gentle, understanding and welcoming.

Mother Rosario was very beautiful and saintly. Those who knew her were spreading news that she was a saint. I too believe that Mother Sayong is in heaven. She is a model and an inspiration to us.
